What You'll do:

• Researching and monitoring SaaS/Software industry compliance requirements (relevant regulations, standards, frameworks).

• Evaluating internal operational and procedural compliance.

• Reviewing data protection agreements and IT security requirements, balancing business interests with clients’ needs.

• Responding to RFI questionnaires and incoming customer inquiries.

• Maintaining an internal compliance knowledge base to support the Business Development department with incoming inquiries.

• Analyzing and updating existing compliance policies and related documentation.

• Communicating compliance policies and guidelines to the C-Suite and designated teams.

• Developing and executing new compliance policies and procedures as required.

• Assisting in applications for compliance certification and regulatory approval (E.g. business permits)

• Creating and maintaining ISO 27001 and SOC 2 (security) controls. Cross-mapping between control frameworks.

• Training employees on industry compliance requirements.

What You bring: 

• Industry-related Bachelor's degree (IT security knowledge is preferred, legal knowledge is a plus) and accredited compliance management certification.

• Previous experience as a compliance analyst in a related field. In-depth knowledge of industry compliance requirements and standards.

• Advanced analytical abilities.

• Effective research, including legal research, skills.

• Ability to accurately complete applications for compliance certifications or licenses.

• Ability to effectively train employees.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have: 

• Accredited compliance management or privacy certification (E.g., CIPP/E and/or CIPP/US).

• Familiarity with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.

• Familiarity with AWS managed services and ELK.

• Good ability to formulate compliance policies, procedures, and related documentation.

• Communicating compliance policies and guidelines to the C-Suite and designated teams.
