Commercial Insights Analyst

Are you a commercially minded analyst who loves digging into data? Help us boost the SEON rocketship as we assemble our super team of fraud-fighting heroes. 🚀
This role will sit at the heart of SEON’s Commercial Team and will work directly with the leaders from Sales, Marketing, Customer Success & Finance to use data and analysis to help us better uncover insights into our business drivers and deliver on our business objectives. You will also collaborate closely with SEON’s external Data Science teams to ensure relevant data sources and analyses are being taken into account. As our first Commercial Insights Analyst hire, you will be an integral member of the Commerical team.
The Revenue Operations team (RevOps) aligns SEON’s commercial unit around the buyer's journey. We work closely with the CCO, and the Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to achieve ARR goals. It's a fun mix of crafting strategy and executing tactics at the SEON rocketship.

What you'll do:
- Work directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and create effective approaches to business analyses, establish key metrics, determine baselines/goals for major initiatives (e.g. quarterly OKRs) and for specific projects
- Collaborate with Revenue Operations Manager and cross-functional teams to define key metrics to measure different aspects of the business
- Be the go-to person for data-driven insights. Support the development of a data-driven culture, enabling the business to take the best advantage of the various sources of data available to it
- Maintain and create new dashboards to track metrics and visualise insights according to the needs of the business
- Partner with key commercial teams to set up and onboard dashboards, train for self-sufficiency on usage and standard reporting, and field requests for more complex requests
- Prepare regular reports for leadership to support ongoing decision-making
- Perform ad-hoc analysis where required
What you bring:
- 2+ years of experience working directly with cross-functional stakeholders such as finance, sales, marketing, data science, and product teams to develop approaches to business analyses. Preferred experience in business operations
- Strong analytical skills, ability to analyze large data sets, draw business conclusions and craft operational recommendations (SQL knowledge is a must or at least a willingness to learn straight away)
- Previous experience working in high growth SaaS company, management consulting firm or investment bank
- Experience in applying data analysis to solve business problems in complex, fast-moving, and ambiguous business environments
- Insight and analytical skills beyond data visualization - synthesizing information to extract key insights and business implications
- Ability to lead projects independently - Demonstrated experience making commitments, setting priorities, and delivering results on time
- Ability to partner with all levels of the organization, including senior leaders and cross-functional team members
